Contact Lenses

Dr. Akel–In the last couple of years, my main concern has been with non-compliance of contact lens patients. Education and stressing the eye health issues has been one of the main points to impress on new contact lens patients. Most problems can be eliminated if the patient realizes the effects of good contact lens care and wear.
Meet Linda M, COT
Linda M, COT joined Kilgore Vision Center in April 1992. She received her COT certification in 1994.
She enjoys traveling, crafting and gardening. Linda is married to Charly and they have 3 daughters, Tammy, Regina and Amy. They enjoy 4 grandchildren, Ryan, Kyle, Micaela and Eric as well as one great-grandchild, Gavin.
Meet Deborah S-Education Director
Meet Deborah S, COT and Education Director for Kilgore Vision Center. Deborah became C.O.T. certified in 1984. She later became education director for Kilgore Vision Center helping our techs to deliver “Excellence in Eye Care.” She is a graduate of Harrison High School.
Deborah enjoys photography and gardening. Her husband David and she have one child, Blake.

Meet Lorna, COA and manager of Kilgore Vision Center’s Harrison clinic. Lorna has been with Kilgore Vision Center since April 1998. She is a graduate of Omaha High School and received her opthalmic certification in 2000.
Lorna and her husband Doug enjoy hunting and fishing. They have 3 daughters, LaRhea, Christi and Bridget along with two grandchildren, Shelby and Briar.
